Smile and the whole world smiles with you.

Yes We got married on 27th June 2009. and thanks to all our crazy friends and family it was an amazing day.

We are now about to go on our honeymoon
adventure from Peking to Paris, in or should I say on, a 1919 big red wooden La France that started it's life as a fire tender.

This journey is 14,597 Km and will take us 37 days in all to complete. We will be starting at the great wall in China, north of Beijing, across Mongolia, into Russia fleetingly, then south west and several Stans and Iran, getting closer through Turkey and Greece and into Italy and finally France.
We will be keeping this page updated and will make you smile so keep visiting.

We are rasing funds for the Smile Train again as we think that it is just an amazing charity. It dramatically changes the life of poor children all around the world including the UK for the whole of their life.

So watch this space to see how we do and we hope that it will make you smile too.

Liz and David.

Mr and Mrs Wenman. XXXXX

A huge thank you to Malcolm and John

As you may have guessed David and I have limited mechanical skills. As you can imagine the daunting prospect of doing such a trip is made easier when you know that the vehicle, BIG RED, has been meticulously prepared and all done that can be done. There will always be the possibility of mechanical failure but everything has been checked and double checked and she looks wonderful.

This is where Malcolm Collinson and John Pitt come into the picture. They have worked long and hard on rebuilding and preparing Big Red for the run and have spent months researching and preparing the car. They have done a fantastic job and all with good humour and a smile on their faces.

David and I would like to say an enormous thank you to them both and to Dianne, Malcolm's very patient wife, for all the hours that they have spent in the workshop.

Thank You Malcolm and Thank You John.
